WARTS

These are hard rough small lumps on the skin caused by human papilloma virus. They are composed mainly of enlarged skin cells.
There are several types and most disappear on their own accord.
Scratching them spreads the virus and causes more warts. They are
also spread through direct contact

SYMPTOMS
Appearance of white, pink or skin coloured small hard rough
lumps on hands and foot
They could appear in groups on neck, face, chest while some
appear at the edges of fingernails and toenails

CARE
Practice good hygiene avoid sharing towels, razors etc.
Balanced diet rich in vitamins, A, C & E boosts the immune system.
Include zinc and vitamin B complex in your diet

Do not try to get rid of the warts yourself by burning, cutting, etc. Always consult a dermatologist If warts develop after age of 45 , go in for a check up Try rubbing the wart with a slice of raw potato or inner side of banana If the wart suddenly feels soft, changes shape, itches or bleeds, get it checked for melanoma or cancer.
